‘Cut Through the Noise’ Shortlisted for Best News & Current Affairs Podcast

Cut Through the Noise has been shortlisted for Best News and Current Affairs Podcast!

Following last week’s exciting news about our nominations, I’m thrilled to share that Cut Through the Noise has been shortlisted for Best News and Current Affairs Podcast at the Irish Pod Awards 2024!

It’s an honour to have our podcast, which focuses on clear communication, marketing, and key business issues, recognised in such a competitive category. The shortlist includes some fantastic names—former colleagues and broadcasters I deeply respect—so being listed alongside them is truly special.

Cut Through the Noise was created to help professionals navigate the ever-evolving world of business and communication. Whether it's avoiding common communication mistakes or staying ahead of marketing trends, our aim is to break down complex topics into practical, actionable advice.

With the Irish Pod Awards coming up early in the New Year, there’s no better time to tune in! If you haven’t listened yet, now’s the perfect opportunity to find out why Cut Through the Noise is making waves in the industry.

Countdown to Social Media Fest 2024!

I’m also excited to announce that I’ll be attending Social Media Fest 2024 on November 20th, thanks to the wonderful Samantha Kelly. I’ll be joining a panel representing Ballyfermot College of Further Education, where we’ll discuss the challenges businesses face in today’s fast-changing landscape. From communication strategies to social media and media connections, these tools are essential for businesses looking to stay sustainable and competitive.

This event is a fantastic opportunity for students studying Content Creation, Media, and Digital Marketing at Ballyfermot to learn from industry experts as they begin their professional journeys.

If you haven’t secured your tickets yet, make sure to grab them here.

This Week on Let’s Go Green: Preparing for Storms and Tackling Food Waste

After Storm Ashley hit last weekend, I realised just how unprepared I was for the unpredictable weather! On this week’s episode of Let’s Go Green, I’ll be sharing practical tips on getting your home storm-ready and preparing for power outages.

We’re also joined by Dr. Karen Moore from the Laois County Council Climate Team to talk about the Laois Climate Action Festival, as well as Peter Baxter from Createschool discussing the Rubbish Film Festival, and Machaela O'Leary from Too Good To Go, offering insights on tackling food waste.

Tune in every Monday at 7 pm on Midlands 103, or catch the show on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Let’s Go Green is proudly brought to you by EirGrid Group.
