Ireland Creates a new podcast!
Hello and welcome,
It’s been a very long time since my last post, and if you’ve been following me on Instagram you’ll have an insight into why. However I’m not one to dwell on the past and in 2021 I promise to be more communicative, I mean in lockdown we have to be as creative as possible in order to keep ourselves going right?
Speaking of lockdown, during the first one, yes I know did any of us expect there to be more than one? I started work on creating a podcast, it was something I had wanted to do for quite some time but it was only in isolation that I plucked up the courage to actually invest my time, energy and finances into actually doing it.
The podcast is called Ireland Creates and each week I feature storytellers from all art forms either from Ireland or with a connection to Ireland. We talk about their life and times, their creative practice and what storytelling means to them.
This week marks my 10th episode, and this time I chat with Illustrator Linda Byrne.
Linda explains how a childhood love of animation brought her to study at Ballyfermot College of Further Education’s Art School and what life is like as a solopreneur in the creative industry in Ireland. She also enjoys working with her pooch at her feet and eating chocolate for breakfast.
You can listen to the episode and the full back-catalogue here.
I will be writing more about the podcast in the coming weeks and my decision to join the paid platform Patreon, in the meantime if you would like to back my work and buy me a coffee a month, let's face it I drink enough of it, you can do so here.
Stay safe and remember to #shareyourstory
