It started with learning how to inject by practicing on oranges, then moved to having a Barbie that had "Diabetes, just like me". Soon my milestones became insulin pens instead of syringes and multi-coloured needs to check my blood sugars.
Through a series of still life photographs I document those milestones, in a bid to give some insight into my life as a Diabetic.
My T1 Life serves as a memoir of my over 25 years of living with Diabetes. This body of work was inspired by Walker Evans' 'Beauties of the Common Tool' and was made as part of a Masters in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at the University of the Arts London.
