The Power of Resilience in the Age of Cancel Culture
🎙 Cut Through The Noise – “To put it simply…I got cancelled.”
In this week’s episode of Cut Through The Noise, I sat down with the brilliant Meagan O’Nan, who shares her deeply personal and powerful story of being cancelled—twenty years ago—and how she rebuilt her life and career from the ground up.
Our conversation is a must-listen for anyone navigating visibility in public or professional spaces today.
We talked about:
• The different types of cancel culture—and why not all backlash looks the same • Why conflict resolution is a core communication skill • How to shut out the noise and stay grounded in your values • And the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people—those who reflect your purpose and principles
This episode is about more than reputation—it’s about resilience.

📺 Ireland AM – Talking Policy on Sunday Morning
It was another lively Sunday on the Ireland AM sofa, where we discussed everything from a potential tourist tax in Dublin to whether older homeowners should be encouraged to downsize.
As I said on air, the concept of ‘right-sizing’ sounds ideal—but it’s not practical unless we have well-established, local retirement communities and a variety of housing options that people actually want to move into.
If we’re serious about solving the housing crisis, we need more than headlines.
We need investment in planning reform, infrastructure, and access to European financing for Irish citizens.
Thanks to Virgin Media Television, hosts Síomha Ní Ruairc and Sean Defoe and my fellow panellist Saoirse Hanley, for another great discussion.
Visibility isn’t about ego—it’s about connection.
This week’s episode with Meagan O’Nan is a reminder that how we communicate matters, especially when things get uncomfortable. And if you’re ready to find your voice, define your message, and cut through the noise—I’d love to help you get there.
Until next time,
Warm regards,
