Clarity in leadership. Confidence in your message. Conversations that matter.
🎙 Series 8 of Cut Through the Noise Has Landed
We’re back—and this time, we’re taking the conversation inward.
In Series 8, we’re focusing on a topic that doesn’t get the attention it deserves: internal communications. Because the way we speak to our teams, our peers—and even ourselves—can shape the health of a business just as much as our external messaging.
In the first episode, I explore:
Why internal comms should never be an afterthought
How to lead with empathy, even in uncertainty
Practical steps to improve how you connect with your team
And how clearer internal comms can become your greatest asset

🌱 On Let’s Go Green – Community Action & Climate Progress
Over the past two weeks, Let’s Go Green has spotlighted the small shifts and bold actions shaping Ireland’s environmental response.
This week, I was joined by Ed Gallagher of Laois Fire Services and Neil McCabe of The Green Plan, who shared how emergency services are becoming greener and more energy efficient through simple, impactful changes. Shirley Clerkin also returned to talk about public engagement with wetland restoration—and why these ecosystems matter more than ever.

Last week, we marked Biodiversity Week with guests from BirdWatch Ireland, Offaly County Council, and Laois County Council. From the dawn chorus to wildlife-friendly gardening, it was a celebration of everyday actions that support our natural world.

🇮🇪 Reflecting on 10 Years Since Marriage Equality
It’s hard to believe it’s been a decade since Ireland voted yes to marriage equality.
I was a news anchor at Newstalk at the time. It remains one of the most powerful days I’ve spent in a newsroom—the energy, emotion, and sense of collective pride was something I’ll never forget.
It was a moment that reminded us what democracy can be: inclusive, fair, and hopeful. And for me, it reaffirmed why storytelling—and who gets to tell it—matters.

Conscious Connections at PSA Ireland
A huge thank you to the Professional Speaking Association Ireland for a brilliant event last weekend.
Our May gathering focused on Conscious Connections, and it delivered in spades—insightful speakers, practical takeaways, and plenty of meaningful conversations about how we show up and share our message.
June Event: Darren Harris and Lisa Kaye-Bell are the keynote speakers at next month’s PSA Ireland event, where I’ll also be hosting a panel discussion on Speaking at TEDx. Tickets are available now if you’d like to join us:
📺 On the Ireland AM Couch
Last weekend, I also joined the team on Ireland AM to discuss the importance of responsible communication around sensitive news stories—specifically, why we must avoid spreading speculation about ongoing investigations online.
It’s never been easier to share a thought—but responsible communications still matters. It’s something we all play a role in shaping.
Whether you’re leading a team or running a business solo—how you communicate shapes everything. Internally. Externally. Strategically. Emotionally.
And if you’re ready to do it better, The Clarity Collective is open.
Until next time - Keep it clear. Keep it confident. And keep telling your story.
Warm regards,
Aisling O’Rourke
